Student Achievements & Awards

Kyung Ja Bae has many competition winners throughout California, including National and International Competitions.

Some of these prestigious titles won by her students include Winner of Young Artist Guild (2010), Winner of State Solo & Concerto in Southern State (2009 & 1997), and Grand Prize winner of Cypress College Piano Competition (2011). She also has winners from the Liszt International Competition and Glendale Piano Competition. In the Southern Californian Junior Bach Festival her students have been awarded Gold, Silver & Bronze Medals and have also been 1st place winners of various Open & Qualified Categories at SYMF, Musical Arts Club Competition and Sonata & Sonatina Competition in MTNA. Her students have also won many Gold Medals from the Orange County Branch’s Theme Festival. Most of her senior students that were graduating high school have had Solo Recitals at the Nixon Library.

Many of Kyung’s former students have majored in Piano and are graduates of Juilliard, Peabody, Eastman, New England Conservatory, Indiana University, UCLA, USC, CSU (Fullerton & Northridge) and Chapman University.
